 Key Spring Season Dates:

    • January 31 - Early Registration period closes (discounted rate ends)
    • February 24 – 12U Assessment
    • February 28 - Spring Registration Closes
    • March 3 - 10U Player Assessments
    • March 3 - Roster Development
    • March 7,8 (tentative) - Parent Meetings
    • March 10 – NO Earlier Than -Practices begin for 10U and 12U
    • March 17 – NO Earlier Than - Baseball Practices begin for 8U (Machine Pitch), T-ball
    • April 14 -Baseball Regular Season Games Begin (Opening Ceremony)
    • May 18 - PAL Night at the Tacoma Rainiers!!!
    • Mid May   Fast pitch Regular Season Begins
    • May 25-28 - Memorial Day Hiatus (No regular season games or practices scheduled)
    • June 2 – T-Ball / Lil Sluggers season ends
    • Jun 2-17 - End of Season Tournaments (8U, 10U, 12U)
    • June 16 - Championship Saturday (Tourney Finals 8U, 10U, 12U)
    • Mid June – 10/12/14u all star window.
    • Mid July Fast Pitch Season Ends

14 and under (14U) Program

  • Players will play in either PONY or LL Intermediate division depending on the ages and number of players who enroll. 
  • 54/80 foot bases for PONY,  50/70 bases for LL intermediate team. 
  • USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel, -5 or less) and USSSA authorized baseballs.  
  • Practice and Game times will be carefully planned to avoid conflicts with Middle School Baseball (Pioneer) Schedule to the greatest extent possible. 

12 and under (12U) Program

  • 70 foot bases, 50 ft mound, leading authorized, dropped third strikes are in play, balks will be called after one warning.
  • Home games will be played on Powderworks Field, Dupont.  Compete against PONY teams from Lacey, Olympia, Lakewood, and University Place
  • USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel, -10 or less) and USSSA authorized baseballs.  
  • Four teams fielded in 2017.

10 and under (10U) Program

  • 60 foot bases, 46 ft mound, no leading, no dropped third strikes,
  • Majority of Games played on Powderworks, Pioneer Middle School (DuPont), and SHS softball field (Steilacoom).
  • USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel, -10 or less) and USSSA authorized baseballs. 
  • Six teams fielded in 2017 this age group. May play Lakewood Baseball League Teams.
  • Exceptionally skilled / experienced 8 year olds may request a tryout to participate (play up).

8 and under (8U / Machine Pitch) Program (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)

  • 60 ft bases, machine pitch from 38 feet at 25-30 mph (60ft  50-60 mph  equivalent reaction time), no leads or stealing on passed balls
  • All games played in DuPont, Steilacoom and maybe one or two games in Lakewood
  • USA Baseball authorized bats (2 5/8" Barrel, -10 or less) and USSSA authorized baseballs.
  • Eight teams Fielded in this age group in 2017.
  • High action / high excitement for players and families. Average time of game is 1hr15 minutes.

6 and under (6U / Tee Ball) Program (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)

  • 60 ft bases, players hit off of tee
  • Introduction to the games and rules
  • Fun for boys and girls
  • USA Baseball authorized bats (2 1/4" Barrel) and USSSA authorized baseballs.
  • Average game time is 50 minutes.

Little Sluggers (4 year olds) Program  (City of DuPont program managed by Patriot League)

  • Introduction to the sport for 4 year olds and their families. 
  • Team will meet once weekly on Saturday Mornings (8-9 Sessions) in uniform. 
  • Weekly meeting will consist of 20-30 minutes of skills and drills followed by a controlled scrimmage. 
  • Highly encourage parents to volunteer to coach or serve as practice facilitator.  Looking for 3 to 1 Player to Coach Ratio to make it fun and productive. 
  • Looking to fill 12-16 Roster spots (volunteer numbers will drive this decision)
